Hey ... haven't been on this board in a long time.
Are you guys doing weekly meets this season??
Hopefully if the warm weather gets here soon I'll be bringing the car out from storage before you know it.

I was thinking the same. The warmer weather is finally coming out and it would be fun to see the old group out. When do we want to start having our weekly meets? Good times.

I was wondering why we segregate the meets on wednesday nights. Some people go to Etobicoke, some people go to West end mississauga.

I remember the meets when there were so may people that three lots were full. I was hoping for this to happen again this year. It gave a better feeling of community. It also was fun to watch the civics feather their accelerator showing off their intake while parking. Many stories.

I have come to understand that we want more excitement and action instead of people standing around and waiting for something to happen. Zlatko was here and many people critisized him and, what I believe, didnot give him enough credit for what he was trying to set up. Mind you, it was kind of funny when you would ask him and he would respond, "How do I facking know, I give up on this ... etc etc"

Essentially what I am trying to open up in discussion here at the form is, that it would be awsome if we can centrally locate a meet somewhere and become more organized. I know it takes a lot of time and dedication, however maybe if we had a board/group of individuals, that represent the different types or cars or people to work something out. Henceforth, it would be easier to convey the message accross to individuals where the spot is etc etc. Also the needs of the individuals can be better address.

I know this sounds kind of gay and political, however for Summer 2006 I was hoping that there would be better structure and organization into our hobby.

Anyone else have thoughts on this? Admins? Moderators?


P.S. No one has started smack talk this year so I will start off... Shuller1458, your car is slow.... yeah i went there... Also Yarko with your blue accord.. hondas suck. Go drift in japan or whatever... GM rules sukka... etc. etc.

Wednesday night in west mississauga, hands down. More eye candy, more cars and some races.

Etobicoke is a sausage fest It "can" be eventful at times, but i'll pass.

Wonder what happened to zlatko... last i heard he bought a jbody and ordered a supercharger kit

It would be nice to have a centralized meet.. but who is it centralized too? Some people come way from the east north and west.. there isn't an Exact close to central point that people are willing to drive to weekly thus the split..

What will happen when you get a large group of car enthusiast in one spot? ( it turns to woodbridge.. )

Would be nice.. close the season ( ya I know.. season hasn't officially started for some yet ) with one big bang of central Gtcars/1320drag meet ( either woodbridge or maybe 403/Dundas since those are the places off the top of my head that can support a large scale )

I'm sure we'll have police escort for that event

Everytime I go there.. I wonder if half of them are even legally old enough

Well Drifter, you know what I'm planning for this year for sure. West will not be in my sights for this year much. Licks on progress or The Official Shrimp Place is where I'm gonna be(yes I know the parkinglot is crappy...lol) But even more east than that I hope, **** going west for nothing, esp when half the ppl won't even race a poor little girl like myself with a stock stang
