I'd be there if the show was held on the front lawn of Queens Park (not kidding).

Waiting for that one to happen, guess people aren't mad enough yet but the truckers, cabbies, farmers, potheads etc.... are.

Are you inviting the media?

Possibly a good idea since they're the ones that are throwing fuel onto the fire of this whole "streetracer = tuner = the devil" thing...

Sounds pretty good and has been posted on dozens of message boards but what do you think will be the situation with cops/mto, etc, getting to the show and at the show, etc, ?

haha I was thinking the same thing. Media twists it, cops camp outside.

I'm going but in the Baystreet Brawler, not the GT-R

Press Release to Follow:

Thank you everyone for attending our event. The turn out was much more than what we expected, it was totally unexpected to have so many cars out. It was a crazy day, a lot of work, however my International Allstars Team TeamAllstars.com - show cars, show motorcycles, show models and JRP Team JRP - Canada & USA Supplier of Aftermarket Performance Parts came through with flying colors. Wow!

Thank you for coming out and supporting "International Allstars Canada and JRP Presents "Tuners Against Street Racing" in support of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Peel. Both International Allstars and JRP Teams did an excellent job. We helped Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Peel to get a few more Brothers, since there is a long list of boys who are waiting for a Big Brother (if you are interested in becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister visit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel - BBBS and help with their cause. We hope this event also brought up awareness of the street racing issue. I hope I didn’t annoy too many people, as I had to take on an MC role last minute. I hope I did a good job.

Now about the event;
There was a seminar inside of JRP, which I announced number of times throughout the day. Chuck Atkins the director of SoloSprint Series was present at the event and had a presentation put together to educate people on road/track racing and safety. He announced the seminar at JRP himself as well as introduced the Solo Sprint Series. Unfortunately there was not enough interest from the attendees, and we are still trying to figure out why, since it was an awesome presentation with videos and everything! Chuck prepared something really nice for everyone and really educational too! Please if you did not get a chance to attend the seminar and want to know more about SOLO 1 or SOLO 2 visit SOLO ONTARIO

Also present at the event were;
>Gerry Cornwell - an instructor from Ian Law's Car Control School with his racecar. For more information on Ian Law and Car Control School visit ::Car Control School::.
>Jim Pirzas and his crew from TryKarting - they work with other organizations to help eliminate street racing as well, “Stop Street Racing Try Karting!” For more information visit Stop Street Racing! Try Karting! - About Us.
>John Bondar - President of the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship, he was kind enough to provide us with some tickets for the next race on Aug 11-12, as well as some posters for giveaways. If you got a ticket do not miss your chance to watch some really good racing. If you did not get a ticket, more tickets are available at the JRP Mississauga location. For more information visit touringcar.ca - Canada's Premiere Sportscar Championship

This was a first show of its kind for International Allstars and JRP, therefore it will take many more to get people to listen to what we are trying to progress.

This year’s focus was to encourage racing in a controlled and safe environment and off the streets. Since Street Racing is an issue, which was predominant in the media, we felt like we could not wait and had to have this event as soon as possible, leaving us with little time to plan it. We are happy that many schools and institutions actually came out and supported our idea. We approached many different organizations to participate in this event, we thank those who were able to make in such short notice, and however there were a few which could not fit this event into their schedules. We also had the support of CSCS.ca, which promotes safe drifting, drag and track racing at their events. As you see we tried to cover as many aspects of racing as possible. Next year we will try to present to you much more! Another thing on the positive side, which I think we can all agree on is that we were blessed with gorgeous weather! Therefore the education was there, and will be more next year, considering we only had 2 months to prepare this event. At times things got out of hand, hopefully no one noticed, hehehe…we had our hands full and might have missed a few things. We will be more aware next time. I am very proud of our event.

International Allstars Team/judges and my crew did a phenomenal job in listening to everyone and what they had to say about their cars. I guess this is why it took so long for us to judge. Plus the calibre of cars we had, was phenomenal so it took longer to sort. We cannot please everyone but I am really proud of this event. Big thank you for everyone being a part of our event and representing them selves in a very professional and clubman like manner. You guys are an example to be followed bar none. It will be a pleasure to work with you in the future.

About No Police Presence at the Event, E.R.A.S.E was totally interested in coming out and supporting our event, however we decided not to as there is just too much heat in the media, and we cant being to imagine what might have happened. It turned out well.

Please check the links listed in the hand out inside your goodie bags. Some really good information there! If you did not get one, or lost yours here are the links again:
