500 + hp and 14's.... . something is wrong here. we are not talking about 0-60 where wheelspin will be a big factor here. 1/4 mile is a long enough time even with initial wheelspin for that high hp and boost car to accelerate quickly. BTY a stock integra does low 16,s in 1/4 with only stock hp of 200hp.

Wheelspin plays a huge part in a powerful FWD. A friend of mine did a 14.1@117 in his fwd talon. Now 117mph is good enuff to get most ppl into the 11's quite easily. Now add more power, and traction becomes even more of a problem. I'm sure I could've spun the entire 1/4 with my last car. I couldn't even hit 3rd gear on a roll, cause I'd spin once boost hit. 1st&2nd gear were completely uselss even with a dual-stage boost control. And I was only making 361whp and 390ft-lbs. To get good ETs from a fwd you need slicks and hope nothing breaks if you hook.

Thumbs up

he should hide his head when u run those times in a turbo ITR i lay low 11s in my turbo ITR, this is the type of guys that gives hope to those wont to be racers with a intake and a muffler, that always pull up to the car and i just laugh. and to the guys that said u should never boost a ITR dude u have no idea, the car is F**king crazy with boost, what a feeling to be pinned to ur seat threw each gear to 10000rpm, and just holding on at 26psi, and i not a small guy at 240lbs.

There is a reason why manufacturers rarely route more than 300 hp in a fwd set up. Once you take the steps to harness that power through the front wheels, you made your car into a one trick pony. You are facing an uphill battle against physics.

Im sure its a hell of a roll-on racer, though.

The motor is hardly hand built, the pistons are put in by hand not to scratch the frm coating on the sides of the pistons..... The ford tauras SHO had a more hand built motor. It was designed to rev up to 13000 RPM and made 300hp, but had to be detuned because ford thought it would kill the mustang and the fact the alternator pulley couldn't handle the high rpms god bless Yamaha marines!

Or

SHO looks more impressive to me considering it came out in 1989 and had a "vtec" secondary system (vacuum activated like the gsr) and reved up to 8500rpm
