1997 corolla help
I got a 97 corolla with like 226kms, and the thing pulls hard i got some v power spark plugs, and i got a apexi muffler on it. ur not gonna believe this but i beat a 94 accord with it. Anywaz, come to the point the engine burns a quarter pint of oil ever oil change, this could be due to the fact that i use the cheapest oil, the autolab from canadian tire, or it could mean my eninge needs rebuiling. I was told to change to the castrol oil the 10 w40 and if that dont work then do an engine flush, the thing is if i do an engine flush i'm scared that i may wash away the sludge that is holding things together.
Anywaz if that doesnt work i was looking at the 4age 20v, or the 4 age 16v. does anyone have one of these in their car?? or would someone let me know where i can go to put one in for cheap, or where i can get a stock corolla engine for cheap, i'm kind of on a low budget so price is a big factor.

LOL
4age's i think are illegal to put into your car. im not sure, but isnt there something about how you cant put an older engine into a newer generation car? (i.e you cant put a bseries into a 06 civic, although why would you). i think jdm engines for your car are like 400 plus install $. you're looking at about 1000 installed

well, you get 160 only from the 4A-GELU from the japanese AE101 (92-95) or 165 from the 4A-GLEU from the japanese AE111 (96-2000). the older 4age's you cant use cause its for RWD corollas. alotta places will do it, and some users on here might. but like, it'll prolly cost more to do it (i THINK) because you gotta fabricate custom mounts and stuff. if your on a budget then just get a corolla engine like yours.
BTW, what happend to your civic man?
