Zlatko 03-14-2005 02:15 PM

Not bad man..

How much was it?

B6T 03-14-2005 06:23 PM

Adam, lets see what my shitbox will do with that thing.

Oh wait, we couldn't fit it in the engine bay :retard:

SuprAdam 03-14-2005 07:16 PM

Dont worry about how much I paid for it ;)

I am sure some of you are thinking "LAAAGGG!!!".........

Just for reference, this exact turbo was used on a friends 7M with 3inch exhaust, 3 inch intercooler piping, my same intercooler, and my same exhaust manifold. He had possitive boost at 2300-2400rpm and full boost (18+) 3600-3800rpm.

With me using a 3inch exhaust with a dump, slightly smaller diameter intercooler piping, and a better intake manifold (front facing) I SHOULD be seeing equal if not quicker spool times  :la:

Now who wants to race.....from a roll

B6T 03-14-2005 09:11 PM

now our lunch breaks aren't going to last as long...

skillton 03-15-2005 01:18 AM

Is that a hairdryer? :thumbsup

TOILETDUCK 03-16-2005 06:19 PM

Ill Race U From A Roll, Dig Anything Name It

SuprAdam 03-16-2005 07:18 PM

^ except you.

But dont worry, you can pick on Mark and Eric if either of them get their supra's running. Mark has something that might be able to hang with you on the highway. I'll let him say what it is.

TOILETDUCK 03-16-2005 07:22 PM

Not Likely
I Pulled Away From Eric With Myold Set Up
Marc With The Mustang? Or Supra

Supra.

"His" turbo trapped mid 120mph on a low compression supra. Probably still not quick enough for your stang, but worth a shot from a roll.

And Eric's set-up is 100% different than last year. I dont think there is one part in that bay that was on his previous setup.

TOILETDUCK 03-16-2005 08:05 PM

Hmm Well 120 Is Good
I Hope To Trap At Around 135 On 10 Psi
And Hopefully Around 150mph Once I Have Race Gas In The Tank
Now Do You Think He Will Keep Up

SuprAdam 03-16-2005 08:21 PM

Hmmm, if he ran race gas and 35psi and you run pump gas and 10psi :D But of course, only if I was driving his car, we all know how Mark drives

TOILETDUCK 03-16-2005 08:29 PM

What Size Turbo Is He Running?
How Fast Does He Think The Car Will Run

TOILETDUCK 03-16-2005 08:33 PM

Oh Maybe U Misheard Me
I Said Mph Not Kilometres Per Hour

ricernoob 03-16-2005 10:24 PM

damn bro, that turbo is so KEWL it needs a cd to run it  :hah: :retard:

SuprAdam 03-16-2005 10:41 PM

^ It is also coke-cooled, not oil or water cooled. :thumbsup

It's a PTE67...A friend trapped 127.5mph on it with a stock exh manifold and all....with 60psi less comp per cyl, which doesn't make that much of a difference when it comes to drag racing anyways, but on the street it makes it more drivable...

As for racing, I doubt I'll be out in woodbridge much/if ever this year - I don't go there to race. For that, it's more a spur of the moment thing, usually if I see a porsche, viper or whatever on the highway...
I go to talk to people about well, cars....but the only talking is talking which I don't take part in, as you probably know Todd...if you forget who I am, you were coughing and choking behind my car that day - all the oil burning!

R head. . .possibly cage and 1000lb rear springs from what I last heard  :hitit:

B6T 03-18-2005 06:12 PM

^ My car feels like it has 1000lb springs in it now. I'm 200lbs, and when I was jumping up and down in the back of the car, the springs barely compressed a half inch.

I can't wait to hit a huge bump :knock_tee

Fast Eddie 03-23-2005 02:14 PM

You steal that thing off a Cummins Deisel?!

SuprAdam 04-15-2005 01:18 AM

Update.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...15_2005002.jpg

Turbo is not seated correctly to the manifold, I need to have a spacer made as the comp. housing hits the runners, so right now there is a home made spacer placed between the manifold and turbo to get a rough estimate at how much room i have to play with before the turbo will hit the strut tower. Enjoy.

dj_jake 04-15-2005 10:12 AM

where did you get that manifold and wastegate?

SuprAdam 04-15-2005 10:54 AM

Good ol' ebay. Manifold is a greddy replica, wastegate is a 50mm hks replica.

dj_jake 04-15-2005 11:05 AM

hmm thats what i thought it looked like... i hope it works out for you, because if thats the usual ssac special, you might have gotten into some serious problems

SuprAdam 04-15-2005 11:48 AM

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...15_2005003.jpg

It will be fine, I am getting it heat treated to prevent any cracking. The piece it self is superb looking.

skillton 04-15-2005 01:07 PM

The manifold looks good, but it looks like you don't have much room between the turbo and strut tower. I hope you got some stiff motor mounts. Also might want to make a bracket or something to support that turbo if you're worried about the manifold cracking.

Nakano-Kid 04-15-2005 01:56 PM

Looks REALLY nice in there. :thumbsup

I wish the tranny for my car wasn't so shitty. Then I could get one of those.. Mmmm... Bewst...

fastestcivic 04-15-2005 02:55 PM

There is a lot more room than it looks like in the pic, but yes I do have semi-solid motor mounts so its all good. I will be fabbing up some braces, and adding a flex section for my downpipe. The tricky thing is going to be squeezing in a 3" downpipe, not much room back there. If I had my parts the car would be running by now, but everything I have ordered is on backorder so I cant do .
