Hi,

I have a 97 4runner. I pretty happy with it, but my rear door is giving problems.

The lock has to be replaced, the handle sticks so for it to close I have to pry it forward with a screwdriver for the latch to lock. I tried oiling it a few times but the problem comes back, its clear it has to be replaced. ie whole new lock mechanism

Also since my rear door lock issue came about, I started using the sliding the rear window instead. However that it also beginning to have issues It's slipping off it rollers causes it to get stuck, so I have to pull it up manually to get it back on the rollers.


I got a estimate from the dealership that is way more than I want to spend. Can any one suggest a repair shop to do these repairs more reasonably? . . .with quality workmanship.
