I just got my first ticket a week ago. I was wondering if anyone can give me some suggestions on what to do.

So it was late at night and i was going downhill on bayview ave. heading north towards steeles. it was supposed to be a 50 zone but a hidden cop in the bushes caught me saying i was doing 85. I work for some type of law enforcement (can't mention which one) and i flashed my badge, he saw and walked of. he comes back with the ticket at 79 in a 50 zone telling me to read my options on the back.

after reading this site i found out i will get 3 demerits. what should i do to get rid of the demerits?

should i :
- plead guilty
- plead guilty with a reason
- goto court?

and which one should i choose and what should i do in the situation?

and i need to make my decision in 7 days.

option 1:

if u go to court and officer shows up and ....75 in a 50 thats not too bad so whats going to happen is when u check in with the prosecutor they will always give u a "deal" usually results with a reduced speed...pay a reduced fine amount...plead guilty.....no points (happens all the time)

or..cop doesnt show..case dismissed

option 2
plead guilty...pay full fine...lose demerit points....imo i would take a chance with the courts

oh sorry i meant 79 in 50. but not much difference.

i guess option 1 is the best then
