I mispoke. It is from date of offence, and not conviction. Don't know how I did that, seeing as this question comes up all the time. So if a person gets a speeding ticket one month before his Insurance renewal. The court date gets set 12 moth from now. His insurance goes up and stays high for one year while waiting for the court date. Then he wins the court and no ticket goes into the record. Will insurance company refund the money the overcharged? |
I believe in this case the insurance company has no record of the ticket because there has been no true conviction yet.

this thread is pretty confusing...lets try this with an example.
1) i get a minor ticket, lets say speeding, 2 points or whatever its worth on April 1st, 2005. 2) i fight it and my court date is set at November 18th, 2005. I fight, I loose. 3) insurence will go up starting from the next renewal after the 18th. 4) insurence will no longer use the ticket, as it was a minor one, 3 years from the date of offence which was April 1st, 2005 so in other words it is "removed" April 1st, 2008. correct? |
can someone please answer Dead-Eye... Cus that would solve the question I was wondering when i started the thread
