he's mexican, they let it slide for the boys down south.

and if i did everything i saw in movies i'd probably be in jail right now.

as far as i know it is illegal, and he might have been driving around with a clear hood, i've seen them in car magazines. if you don't know what i'm talking about i'll find a pic.

actually you can drive with out a hood there is nothing in the traffict act saying you have to have a hood. but im sure that you will get pulled over for it and they will ask you to put on a hood with in a couple of days.

I think the ruling is that something ( rock, road trash, etc.) could get tossed up by the fan blades and hit another car , pedestrian or go thru glass of another car causing drivers loss of control of vehicle .Also to keep water spray and slush off windshield . Like back when cars had engine driven fans . Sounds logical and corny , thats what the cop told me when he ticketed me . I Beat it in court .
Also in just what neighbourhood in the almighty GTA do you wanna leave your car parked with no freakin hood on it .
scarberia , bramaladesh, hamilton , downtown..77.

i was wonderin this too... My engine bay gets soo hot and my intake TEMPs rise like mad. The turbo doesnt help this and you cant drive with one Head light.

The only other way to reduce my intake temps would be, either reloacted the Intake from ontop the Turbo to infront of thje engine(shorty intake), put a heatshield, or put some sort of hood Scoop with entering point at the front and then escape from the back.... this hood would look gay though, but it would be funcitional . either these ways or no hood :/

any suggestions

You could try re hinging the hood so it opens from the back . I,ve seen some cars at strip with heat problems where they have the hood open a couple of inches , like at the windshield end to let hot air out . then close it down for everyday driving ..77.

in the fast and furious it is a clear and hood and it is illegal to have no hood because the car will not pass safety because the washer noszles are part of the safety test so MTO WILL take your car, the old cars do not need seatbelts either but if you add them in and don't wear it, you will get a ticket weired irony.........

I was caught without a hood, but I was only driving around the block so I was given a warning. The reason I was told it was illegal was because if you hit someone they will fall onto your motor and burn themselves. Kind of far fetched to me but??

its all gone. There the Turbo then nothing underneath it. I use Header Wrap for my DP, Manifold, and im goin to wrap my hotside in it. I'm thinking about a Trubo heat sheild to keep the engine bay cooler.

Any of you ever had a radiator pipe burst? I did and it spews green coolant all over the place. Imagine not having a hood and having green coolant obscure your visibility (it doesn't wipe off well the wipers) or worse yet having an oil line grease up your windshield.

That may have something to do with the law and something that can happen very easily.

That's classic! Ouch i just got run over by a car, i hope i dont get burned by the engine. I know cops arent exactly the brightest minds of society, but the idiot who told you that, takes the cake.
