Gay ticket

got a ticket for doing 70 in a 60..
no points..

$40 ticket

reason im so pissed is cause i had a clean record till this, so i def wanna fight it so i can have a clean record again, my question is though, if i just plea guilty to a lesser offence what would happen to my insurance?

i asked a couple people and they said nothing, but some said it might go up..
i unno so i thought i would ask you guys..

u got 2 options

option 1: pay fines, lose points increase insurance

option 2: go to court, they will make a deal with u. probably drop the speeding limit and give you a lower fine + no demerit points. or cop doesnt show and ur free.

imo..option 2
just my 2 cents

Go to court, they can't convict you on the 83

if its no points then just pay the 40 ..if ur with a good insurance company like caa, they wont care about it unless u lost points..but if ur worried about ur insurance then go to court....they cant convict you for a 83 unless thats what it says on your ticket.

really?
still though it`ll be the cops word over mine,
and i heard that if u take it to court AND you lose, you pay the maximum pay out for that ticket plus all the court fees and a $15 charge or some ,

i think im just gonna plead guilty to a lesser offence

thanks guys!

state farms gay. maybe if your with them theyre a bit more leniant but if you have a blemish on your record they dont wanna take you. a minor ticket wont affect your insurance. even a major one will be fine if you play your cards right. keep pushing back the date until just after your insurance renews and then make sure you dont tell the insurance company about the ticket. tey wont find out until they renew your policy and after a year your insurance increase will be alot less than it would be if you currently had that same ticket. your ticket being that small wont affect your rates. it will however show up to them that youve got a ticket and itll be on your record. your welcome to fight it but if its already been reduced that much your just spitting in the cops face by trying to get it dropped even more and if hes spiteful enough he cold get one of his cop buddys to pass along a much larger ticket if they ever stop you. its how things work. its 40 bucks, pay the fine and move on with life. in 3 years itll be off your record and itll be like it never existed.

also to add another thing, if you go to court for it the cops gonna say hes already reduced the ticket and chances are you wont have it dropped down at all. on the ticket somewhere is a checkbox that indictes if the cop reduced the speed of the ticket or not.
