when they said "should", they probably meant "about then, but not necessarily then". i know a few people who've had their court date set 7+ months after filing for a trial, just wait, i'm sure it's just around the corner.

nothing to worry about man....... i got a ticket for improper muffler and i fought ....... the court date came after 1 year..... most likely police doesn't show's up anyways... das y i barely go to x-cops when da ticket is minor....

Im actually in the process of becoming a cop ...they have approximately a year to issue you a court date for a fair trial anything over that and it will probably get thrown out..chances are you will receive a notification in the mail that can take up to 6 -7 months to get

WOw that's been quite awhile I got a ticket back in February and I just got my court date in the mail not too long ago.

got my ticket back in august get my court date in january went to court this july and the freaking cop and the lady i rear ended showed up. like give me a break. no harm done and i was nice about everything everythign was taken care of in the end. do the guy a favour if the person who hits you takes care of everything and doesnt give you a hard time. don't show up to court if he gets a ticket.

Wrong. This is old school thinking... Most police officers are required to show up for court. If they miss a court date without a good reason, they are penalized.

Don't stress on it...the longer it takes for you to get a date, the more likely it is that they will throw it out.

Its in your rights to be given a "fair and speedy" trial. If it takes over a year to get a date for small fine.....then thats not really speedy now is it?
