that sucks ***** i got pulled over for the same thing but i got let go, the cop was a champ. how far from your house where you. if you were in a diferent city or town thats prolly the reason they gave you one becaue i think your only supposed to use the trip permit for local driving and emergencies.

its not even the fact that i got pulled over,... its the way they do it.. i was at mac's and i seen the across the road at the gas station waiting for me to exit..so i go upthe road and pull into timmies and bam on are the cherries..big surprise...

and then i told em that i just was bringing the truck home after picking it up from the shop andthe bitch cop says to me "shops arnt open today" (friday)...
me: the shop was open friday.. i picked it up this afternoon...
her: yea ok..

WTF is that bull ...any shop i know of is open fridays...stupid ****ing cops..i'm so sick of them around here.... thanks god im moving to a differnt town...dont even get me started on the subject.. like the one time i was in my crx and got yanked on the 401..along with 4 other honda's...2 modded and another 2 pulled up the road 8 kms.. but ya know... they dont profile..

not sure what you mean by jurisdiction?

temp permits for Ontario cover all jurisdictions in Ontario, and ya said you were 10 mins from yer home so Im kinda lost

just so ppl know - temp permits are only to be used for a one way trip and the vehicle does need some sort of insurance coverage, so if yer caught driving round town with buddies in the car and yer using the car to go shopping with, cops can bust ya hard if they want. the office will give ya temp plates for many reasons (usually just by asking for em) but technically they should only give em out under certain conditions - such as you proving that you just bot the vehicle and need to transport it + usually requires proof of safety

as far as I know it's only a fine and has nothing to do with yer demerit points cuz you did not commit a HTA offence other than having expired temp plate, so it's treated as a parking ticket - or should be

ya 15 min expired plates ticket = azzhole cop, but it could have been much worse for ya

they should profile, and im glad they do. its ****ing tools like you in civics thats ****ed it up for everyone. no one can mod cars anymore because of dumbass honda owners that watch too much fast and the furious and go 50+ over the limit and race on highway 7. if you drive a modded civic, dont bitch about profiling because chances are you break the law whenever youre behind the wheel.

So true havent had a ticket in over 2 years. so just cuz i drive a honda im an idiot behind the wheel? if thatwere the case i would have alot more tickets cuz of all the cops in tis town (OPP,NBPD,RCMP,MP...) I really wish stupid ppl would stop lumping good drivers in with thestupid one. i cant even insure my 92 Civic Sedan now "cuz ppl modify those cars for street racing" according to my ins. company. yes my car is modified however i do not race it or drive like a idiot but i get punished cuz of the dumbass's out there that do. WTF????

You thought that the expired tag ticket was something. Wait till you cause an accident that injures someone and damages lots of property. The insurance company can, and will, leave you totally responsible, if they notice that the truck is now a v-8 and you've not bothered to point it out.

That would technically be insurance fraud, wouldn't it?

All I'm saying is that it's not as easy to screw the insurance companies as one might think.

I would look at it like this:

Your car's insurance is partly determined by the engine size; hence why there are several options within the model for getting a quote. Each engine is factored into the premiums at different levels. So, if you're insuring an 8cyl under a 4cyl policy..
