Heat is on in Durham

I was just cruising across King St in downtown Oshawa and a cop in one of those grey striped Impalas stopped me.

He inspected my car and after 25 minutes came up with a blue light ticket for the valve stem caps on my wheels!

I asked him WTF (not using those words), and he said, can't have flashin blues if not removing snow???

I told him they are either on or off but don't flash, he said

" they flashed when I saw them, I am not holding court at the road side, take it to court"

Man its geting so I can't drive in Durham, and I thought that Oshawa is the City that motor-vates or sumthin like that..

What a load of crap!

brianb has a spectacular aura aboutbrianb has a spectacular aura about
thats sux

it sux that he is wasting time writing tickets for blue lights but then again blue lights are not supposed to be on a car anyway, cant really fault him for giving you a ticket when you are not supposed to have blue lights on your car.

Just prove they dont flash,

the HTA says

(32) No person shall operate a lamp that produces intermittent flashes of blue light on a highway except in the circumstances described in subsection (31). 1996, c. 33, s. 11.

HTA 62(32) (Blue Lights) – Improper use of blue flashing light - $85.00/$110.00
http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/DBLaws/S...90h08_e.htm#62 .(32)
Restriction on use of flashing blue light

As long as yours stay on or off like you said then theres a good chance you can get the charge dropped, cops can be such dicks when they dont have to be. instead of writing a stupid ticket that you'd fight and waste time and money (yours and the courts) how about them saying you are going to have to get regular valve caps.
Or they could learn the ing difference between flashing and not flashing is, but cops aren't hired because of intelligence, they're hired because they can pass a fitness test

I am going to assume that your driving was 100% and that you didn't do anything else to get pulled over? I can hear it now "Your honour I was driving along at 50km/h in a posted 50km/h zone as indicated on the sign 100m west of Simcoe street on the north side. I recently had my spedometer tested by x technician at x location on such a such date and knew it to be in proper working order. My tinted windows were rolled down and I had a clear un-obstructed view of the sign. My aftermarket exhaust emits a low tone and I was crusing at 50km/h as not to affect anyones peace and quiet. I signaled every lane change and came to complete stops at every stop sign. I was picked out of all the other cars because I have lights on my valve stems which do not flash and are not manufactured to flash"

Oh yeah those gay assed lights were mean for off road or show purposes only as stated on the packaging.

Common man do you really beleieve that police don't have anything better to do with their time than to hunt you down because of your gay assed lights?

Maybe he felt sorry for you and instead of giving you another HTA ticket which may have carried points he reduced it to some lamo fine.

This could all be very true.
But the cop could have just been a ***** and saw a car that looks like it might have mods. He then went over the whole car and came up with a Bullshit ticket.

Note i have had cops try to do the same thing to me in my car.
And i had them make up as well.
