Caught in a couple of mto checks , once on road to cayuga , 2nd , driving thru T O on way to cayuga . another time pulled over , got caught in a group of ricers. And cops pulled over like 5-6 cars at once , me right in the friggin middle .
Road to cayuga.My car is an unpopular 1977 model . There was 7 different eng options for it that yr . 5-6 diff emmissions set ups for it . canadian , cali the rest of america.And mexican.mto fag looks under it NO cats . ahah. I,m like i didnt know it had to have them . ( LIE) He asks to open hood . I,m like your gonna have to do it . I havent owned it long an I just put gas in it .( LIE) If it needs stuff under the hood I go to agarage .(LIE) Stand there with a stoopid grin . Cop comes over an says you,ve owned this pos since 1985 . Really ??. Wow!!.I ask them just exactly which one of the emmiss setups mine is supposed to have . They didnt know .So they talk it over an basically tell me to fire up this pos, an get the hell outta here.

It depends on what kind of emmision testing / standards you have there. Like where the car is registered. Even if there is no emmission testing in your area , in a spot check here . Your vehicle would have to have all the emmiss equip it woulda been manufactured with . After getting thru 3 spot checks i actually got a deal on some 3 inch dia free flow cats . Put em on and havent been checked since.
Sometimes looking emmisions compliant is all you need. Ie. a machined boss welded to the side of a single plane highrise intake to mount anon functioning but legal looking egr valve . Sometimes just having the stuff is enuff to get you thru..77.
