**** that, a dog/kid/cat/large piece of garbage got in your path and you hit thebrakes to avoid hitting it. let someone try to prove you wrong. the law says you gotta leave a big gap, if your being tail gated and you get rear ended its not your fault

Hitting ur brakes when someone is tailgating will not get you a ticket. If it can be proven (depends on witnesses, etc), it'll end up with a criminal charge... but then again, it depends on all the situation in totality.

LOL caught, how are they gonna get proof showing there was nothing in front of you? You're a funny guy, D BEST. Unless you do it to a police cruiser (which has a camera mounted forward) showing you hit the brakes for no reason, then the person has nothing, your word against theirs. Words aren't proof. They were too close, and thats why they hit you, not because you hit your brakes "too hard" for no reason.

peoepl run into traffic all the time. peple hit on the hiways all the time aswell, you hit th ebrakes to avoid hitting something. they have to prove you did it on purpose and explain why there were 12 inches off your bumper and not 3 car lengths behin you like theyre required to be

if someone is tailing you all you got to do is slow down to a 100km (or the speed limit for the road that you are on), just try to time in in such a way that it blocks the guy in between a few cars so he is stuck going the limit. That will **** him off good. No sense slamming on your bakes cuz that could get you hurt. You wont get a ticket cuz how are they going to prove what was happening in front of your car? They cant see through your car, and if they say they can look through the window then you tell them they should have been looking at your lights, and not following so close. Come on we all know most cops are stupid clowns looking for a reason to be dicks to someone because they got picked on in school, but there is no sense risking getting hurt yourself because some *** clown cop is trying to make his ticket quota for the month. By the way, if I were you I would fight the ticket. I use Redline legal services and so far they have been pretty good. Also, get a copy of the hwy traffic act, you will be surprised on a lot of the stuff that you can get away with once you read that book. Out of curiosity did the cop have you on radar doing 160km?
