I might as well just post up what happened. Thank god you where not alone and had a punk/passenger beside you. basically go to court and tell them you where a kid and you ahve learned from your mistakes and basically you where dared. aslong as you dress up like a human being, don't talk like a ****in wigger/thug/gangstar and make eye contact, go there with either your mother and father you shall be fine. No need for lawyer, just tell them you have grew up alot since than and you have learned from your mistake. The judges are pretty reasonable

Well my plan was orginally to go to the crown attorney by appointement. Explain my situation. It was a honest youthful mistake. I've realized my mistake and it was a stupid move to impress my date because I didn't want her to take the subway home.

Yes it was stupid and I don't plan on ever doing it again.

Here is what a constable told me, they would only charge me with, if they do:

"The fine for the left turn is $110. The fine for being a G1 driver without an accompanying driver is also $110, but your licence will also be suspended for one month upon conviction for that offence. The issue of you licence being suspended is difficult to comment on. You need to find out why it was suspended. The local Ministry of Transportion office can help you find that out. If you find out that your suspension had something to do with your wallet being lost, then you need to let the police and the courts know about that. You should try to meet with the provincial prosecutor before your court date to talk about that, if it was that someone else was using your licence."

I just don't have the 800 bucks to spend on those ticket fighting places or lawyers...

So I'm coming here for advice and trying to do my best and be honest.

Ya, the sooner you learn how to handle traffic defenses on your own, the better off you'll be down the road. The traffic ticket places are a good option for those who can't articulate well in a formal setting, or are just too scared to step foot in a courthouse.

As for immigrants being a problem, when are we going to send all these pesky Native Indians back to their own country!? ;)

judgez24 01-08-2008 05:31 PM

the problem with courts is it depends on who your judge is. soemtimes you get one whos quite leniant and will drop the charges if you have no prior offences. sometimes you get one who wants to make an example out of you to your friends and you get the max they can give you. in the end no matter how polite and respectful you are and hwo much bs you try to spoon feed them, it all comes down to their mood that day. try to be there early on in the morning and try to get the jp to bump you to the front of the rotation, before they get pissed off at the world

lowbalt 01-09-2008 12:28 PM

I had a few problems back in the day with g1 class license. When I went to court I even remember the cop being there, and when they called out my name the prosecutor said it was a no-evidence case? (dont know what that means) but the judge was like you're free to go.
:439:

But it depends on the Judge I guess, even the officer and his mood.

thats true, that is actually how our whole system works. It all depends on the mood of the judge. If his wife didn't give him any last night then for all you know he will redirect all that anger on you. Makes you kind of wonder how democratic is that when our faith depends on one persons mood.

judgez24 01-09-2008 11:12 PM

yup it sucks how the legal system works. its only fair when its in our favour i suppose, lol.

Gonads 01-09-2008 11:13 PM

ohh hell it's not just the legal system. thats the way it is with everything. haha

2. I'm sorry your friend was injured but just because I have a G1 does not mean I haven't driven before in another country or don't know how to drive. There are many drivers out there with a G2 or G that are horrible drivers, so you shouldn't make assumptions. What makes you think I wasn't a driver in another country before I moved here? They don't accept transfer of the license from all countries you know...

I came here for some friendly advice so I don't need you to make assumptions when you don't even know me. I obviously know I made a mistake driving with a G1 at that time of the night but we all make mistakes in life. So if you have some inner anger problem I suggest you go and take care of it elsewhere. If you don't have any advice why even bother posting?

sick burn buddy!!:turbogfight:
