Stunt Driving Ticket?

Hey guys has anyone ever got one of these tickets, I got one early yesteday morning on my way home from the airport, just got home from my vegas vacation. I was just excited to get home and was not even paying attention, I do not normally speed excessivly and this was my 2nd ticket in 5 years of driving, other one was a minor 100 in an 80, almost 4 years ago. It was 1:30am when I got the ticket as well.

anyways I was radared doing 154 in a 100 zone about 5-10 minutes away from the airport towards hamilton.

- A minimum fine of $2000 up to a maximum fine of $10,000
- Imprisonment for not more than 6 months
- Licence suspension for not more than 2 years for a 1st conviction
(up to 10 years for a 2nd conviction)
- Up to a 100% insurance rate increase for the next three years
- Six demerit points

Has anyone ever fought this ticket? should I pay ex copper to do it or should I just plead my case and hope they drop it to 149?

Thanks for any help

Start reading my thread as im in the middle of my case.
http://www.gtcars.ca/online/traffic-...t-50-over.html

You got 2 charges: Stunt driving & 50km/h over the posted speed limit.

Start looking for a good (very good) lawyer who has experience with this cases.
This is serious offence and don't take it as a joke ticket at all.
Keep us posted.

The idiot cop told me to go grab my lisense from the headquarters in Waterloo. (He also told me to go to court house and see if I can get my car out earlier then 7 days. I went there next day and they pretty much laughed at me and said that they didn't even get my info from the incident yet. That yahoo told me so much fauls info its not even funny.)

I came to headquarters on Sunday and they were like "Well we can't seem to find it, try MTO tomorrow."....and i snapped at them two....totaly lost my cool. They pretty much told me to get the **** out.
I was mad because I drove all the way from Toronto and they didn't have my lisense and MTO was closed on Sunday....How can I not loose my cool??
I called my buddy in that area to come and drive off my car from impound lot.
Please tell me that you're not wasting time and already called at least 4 or 5 lawyers to get a quote.
I have to call my guy tomorrow and see if he got a disclosure from a police officer.

I have called almost every paralegal company in ontario, cheapest I found was 800, most expensive being 1600. Are you going to use a paralegal yoursefl? I have been told to not use ex copper or pointts but some guys told me that Redline is suppose to be really good.

I am going to get my car tonight/tomorrow morning at 1:30am, going to get my girlfriend to drive it home since I still dont have my license. I am hoping to go get my license from my local MTO tomorrow. Is this how it works? The police officer did not let me know anything about what to do here. I even tried calling the number on the ticket and she said I would get my license mailed out, which I still have not received so I hope I can still go get it tomorrow from the MTO. My car to get out of the impound lot is $810, so you got off a lot cheaper than I did notguilty, I guess mine $250 for the tow and $80 per day, what a ripoff

Stunt Driving Ticket

i dont recomend you do this on your own...courts are really cracking down on these. there could also be jail time with this one!!! i havent gotten one yet, but a buddy did...he hasent been to court yet though.

dont use ex-coppers...they are useless...not many people know that they went backrupt and left 6000+ client high and dry with no representation!! now some ex-employees bought it out and are running the same shotty system.

i only use trafficticketsolutions.ca i told my buddy to also, but i cant remember where he ended up going. but they fight all my traffic tickets and are very good. they are a law firm also and have actual lawyers that can take care of big tickets like this.

if you fight this on your own, you better do a ton of research. i tried in the past to fight my own tickets and failed miserably...dont want to take your chances with the "big ones" like this...

Holy crap you guys got the bloody bulls down there , i'm glad i live in the flatlands & have very little contact with the bulls . I'm also glad that our population for Sask is less than gta .Any way best of luck and i guess stay at the double nickel . Is the reason for these laws street racing or what ? I'm sure there was plenty of laws in place before that could have been enforced . Later bake
