My cousin and i are having a debate about after market tails

I think..
You need to have red on the tails or you will get a ticket

He thinks it is ok to have just a red bulb.

Has anyone gotten a ticket for tails?

they just have to flash either amber or red, my tails are white and the bulb is amber (99-00 civic tails)

HTA 62 (1)

During times at which headlights have to be on.......every motor vehicle... shall carry three lighted lamps.....
.....ONE on each side of the front of the vehicle which shall display a WHITE or AMBER light only....
AND...
........ONE on the REAR of the vehicle which shall display a RED LIGHT ONLY


HTA 62 (14,15) restricted use of flashing red light and restricted use of any light casting red light to the front

HTA 62(16,32) restricted use of green and blue lights

HTA 62(19) Licence plate light must be white light ONLY

the lense doesn't have to be coloured... it can be just the bulb. Look at the 02-04 Protege 5 (I know cause the wife drives one)... they stock tails come with a clear turn signal lense... but the bulb is amber.

i was more concerned about the red lights that's where the bulk of tickets come from
