Trial Required??

hey guys i recently got a ticket for both having improper muffler and speeding. Both of the tickets i was given have my address info spelled correctley, but the postal code is completely wrong, its from my old house. i moved about a week and a half ago and i have yet to recieve my new drivers license card. when i was pulled over i told the cop my situation about moving and that i am just waiting for the new card in the mail, which is true. but i did tell the cop my new address and everything. but yet still managed to put my old postal code on the ticket. now, does this make the ticket invalid due to wrong information. i have been told this by many people and i hope this is the case!! im guessing this is the same as having the wrong car info and people get away with it.

now if this is the case, can i just go to the court office and show them my explaination and the ticket will be dropped, or do i have to make a court date for something like this???
thx

goneinsixtyseconds street rep is low. keep going
if your new driver's card was on the way, than that means you already went to the MTO and changed your address. if that were true you should have been issued a temporary driver's license with your new address (which you should have given to the officer). either way, yes you need to still set a court date and NO, if you just show up at the court office you won't get your tickets dropped due to mis-information on the ticket. from what i know, the court can amend that information on the day of the trial, so unfortunately you can't scam your way out of the ticket this way.

nice try tho, but it's been done THOUSANDS of times by now and the court system has smartened up since.
