unnecessary noise violation
i was stopped at a red light, and it was a little wet out, my tires squelled for two seconds and then i see the cherries come on, and so i move out of the way thinking he is just going to a call but instead he follows me over...so i know its me. He comes upto my window and was like why are u driving like that...so i said sorry i squelled my tires, and he said yes u did for 4 car lengths, and i then proceded to argue that it was not, he goes back to his car, and rites me up a ticket.
it was on a city street in Barrie, and it was an OPP officer...isn't he out of his juris-diction?

is there anything i can do to fight this. he also checked marked no witnesses and i had my girlfriend in the car.

Barrie cops are** fuct **. Was he a crew cut one ?? . OPP can pretty much do what they please. Was there tire marks , did you measure them ..77.

Witnesses refer to independent witnesses other than the driver and occupants in his or her car. Your girlfriend doesn't count.

OPP out on jurisdiction.....hmmm let's think hard here....
O = Ontario
P = Provincial
P = Police
I'm pretty sure Barrie is in Ontario!!
Not that it matters, but as long as a police officer is sworn in (even municipal) they have authority anywhere in the province as well.
