I've seen on CP24 that OPP clocked someone going 300km/h this long weekend. Anyone has details?

i had a buddy who actually died recently in a car crash, but when he was alive he had this pontiac sunbird with no governer and he was goin down diltz road in dunnville. anyone whos been down this road knows full well how many jumps are on that road, but anyways, he was doing 130km on it and hit a jump, his car caught 3 feet of air, just as a cop was passing. it was in freaky, the cop e-brake 180'd and chased us, he got pulled over and slapped with a $360 speeding ticket! and believe it or not, he gopt out of it, because a little over a week later, the sunbirds engine caught fire and the car was written off, dismissing the charge. good story, very true

I heard about that... Wasn't it on the highway, and the guy on the bike got caught on radar on an overpass, but he flew by the cops on the side of the road. They apprantely couldn't catch up to him, so they had to set up a roadblock like 20 minutes away from where they caught him on radar... Apprantely, the guy didn't even see any of the cop cars or the flashing lights... Ha ha ha, that is when you know that you are going too fast!!

I think the best speeding ticket that I ever got, or should I say that I didn't get would be a week after I got my license, and I was in my parents minivan because I didn't have a car straight away... And I was flying down a 50 zone road doing about 90... And I see the cop, but it doesn't register in my head to slow down, so he pulls me over, and my friend and I just act dumb and pretend that we didn't know that we were doing anything wrong. He let me off of it... I couldn't believe it, so my friend and I asked him if we could give him a hug... So on the side of the road, my friend and I hop out of the vehicle and both give this cop a hug. Ha ha ha, I love having boobs, its gets you off things!! Ha ha ha... Awesome! Yeah, that's my story. :thumbsup

I got 49 over once....149 in 100 on the QEW heading for the falls. Two cops were in the car...one holding the radar gun, one giving me the ticket...the cop that gave me the ticket showed up, the cop that held the radar gun didn't....case was dismissed :p When I was heading out of the court room, the judge stops me and says "son, just because the officer was not present, it doesn't mean that you are innocent and were not speeding". I resisted telling him that I was going more like 170 :smilie_fi

I got caught for doing 86 in a 60. The cop let me off with a 10 over ticket and a $40 fine. No points.

cops got me on radar doing 160 in a 50 zone while i was trying to outrun them after they showed up in the middle of a race. i didnt get a speeding ticket but i did get a street racing ticket and was charged with flight from police and dangerous driving under the criminal code. after a year and a half in court all charges were dropped and tickets thrown out.

I got 3 tickest in one weekend driving from toronto to Nova Scotia and back (no map) all 3 tickes were for $400 and in the high 100's 160- 180 I think, some were reduced, and some summons to court. the guy i was with has a ticket for 194 at 7:00pm on the 407. And an average speed of 174 between oakville and stoney creek in 15 min or so durring rush hour traffic (had to stop 3 times) We were caught by a 'super cop' drivng a Black Crysler Concord, and wearing plain cloths. So be aware. We are still fighting all 5 tickes. Most of the tickes we got driving a Toyota Cressida. If you were beat by a Grey box off the line, ever, it was me :) .

i think the best for me was 1 week after i got my g2 i was doing 130kms in a 50kms on hwy 10 near queensway the cop asked for all my stuff went to his car and came back 1 minute later and goes slow down next time. I was doing 80kms and u where pulling away from me, I am in route of a call so I cannot give you a ticket. Man was i lucky and at the same time i was racing another camaro

i got a pretty decent one. 2 march breaks ago i got a 132 in a 70 in montreal, 7 demit points.. i was only 17 at the time, they wanted something like $440, but for some reason i only had to pay $100... im still not able to aford insurance. :smilie_d0
