99 jetta electrical problems

so i have a '99 jetta GL (type 3), and i've heard about electrical problems on VW's, especially newer ones (4th models). My left rear window wasn't working, so i checked all the wires and ended up lubricating a connector which fixed the problem... few weeks later, my other rear window wasn't working (neither from the front button or the rear button).

now, alarm starts going off randomly. WTF. That's really annoying. I was in LCBO yesterday and it goes off as I'm in line. This morning i locked the car, and started walking off, and it goes off again.

Any ideas?

tnx,

Have someone remove the factory alarm, and put in a decent aftermarket one. My MK3 jetta has that retarded alarm too, but I had mine redone. It calls my cell if it goes off.
