help aba swap into mk2 jetta?
hey i need some help on my aba swap into a mk2 jetta. The motor is in the car and all the wiring is in and all connected but i can not get the new motor started it cranks over but does not start . I know she has fuel and she has power at the coil pack . I put a jumper in the fuse panel to give the fuel pump power and a jumper to the starter from the battery.and all the sensors and connectors are connected And just wondering if anyone can help me out ?

How do you know your getting spark past the coil pack? Take out the plugs and see if they are covered in fuel. If they are dry, your not getting fuel, if they are soaked, you might not be getting spark..
Take out the sparkplugs and wires, set them on the intake manifold and have someone crank over the car and see to make sure it has spark..Then check for timing to make sure its all aligned. Im not sure if the MK3 ABA's tranny's have this but check the neutural safety switch on the tranny..
