i found a 383 rotating assmbly for like 700 bucks with fordged pistons and egale crank... im goign to build that and port my 305 heads( guy on thirdgen.org got 240+ cfm out of them) and im hoping to have one litte torquey motor

don't do the 305 heads, the ports are way too small for that big an engine, it won't breath well, not to mention the compression ratio will be sky high. A set of ported 305 heads may make more power than a stock set of 350 heads because of the compression, but you'll have to run premium at least, and a set of aftermarket heads is not that much more, or port a set of stock 350 ones
