meh.. it can be done quite easily if you're open minded. Volvo 850 T5R with a few light mods can push out just over 300hp, and can be had for under $6k all in. A Saab 9-3 or 900 with a few light mods can be pushing well over 320hp for under $5-7k. A Talon TSi with crazy amounts of mods will push at least 500hp, for less then $10k, and its AWD. A buddy of mine has a 400hp 1G Talon, he paid less then $5k for it. Its very possible.
