Rear End

I wanted to get posi gears for my rear end i was wondering if u guys thought it would be a better idea to buy posi gears aftermarket and put them in or just try and find a whole rear end from an ss or something, im just not sure if one would be much better than the other also i was thinking of trying to get 3.73 gears is that a good ratio for a v6?

depends on what youre looking for... if you want a higher low end, and lower high end, then yes.

Yea it doesnt seem that hard just take the driveshaft off and and then the torshen (sp) bar off and the whole thing spins, just becareful with the coil spring rent a tool or somethin to take them out you dont want to get boinked with one of them ive seen it happen before and they pop out with a hell of alot of force they could actually be deadly

there was a pic of a garage wall with a coil spring embedded in it from being removed wrong on nastyz28. Do yourself a favor and do it right

ive heard stories about that with coil springs but i would never try to take something like that off without the right tools and i definatly wanna do it right if i do a half *** job now then ill probably regret it later, but does anyone know where i could find a whole rear end or about how much it would be cause i would want a close to new one if i could find it or new if possible. but thanks everyone

I can find them (the company I work for sells them used) with or without traction control? Looks like I have a couplewithout traction 3.73 ratio (hard to come by) locking for about $700 shipped. I'll check further tomorrow when I can see the option code list a couple just give me the code and I don't have that in front of me
