Toyota IS developing a new Supra, 2 models a V6 and a V8. No turbos here. Turbos are not used for performance anymore unless your car is an SRT4. They;re used to make you think the car has a bigger engine (1.6L that feels like a 3.5V6) They are also being used as turbos are much like displacement on demand (using atmospheric pressure...ie Boost to raise and lower displacement) For power AND fuel economy. The GTR I hear will be V8 also but hear rumours of TTV6..I think you'll see it with V8 too. Iam reffering to the bullshit turbo Acura, Mazda SUVs and family sedans, BMW 3 series etc..they;re not there for what they use to be there for.
