I've gone 190km/h in a Rabbit, and I'll tell you, I'd never go that fast in that chassis, no matter what it has for suspension, or cage, or whatever. The friggin doors start to separate from the body at 180+-, unless it's caged. Then it picks up a vibration around 190, and I don't mean tire vibration.

I've taken a rabbit to around 190-200. It wasn't that bad.

Well, the one I took over 190, had around 300000 miles, not kms on it. My 83 GTI that's in my garage right now, might not be that bad, but I think I'll pass. I prefer to turn than go fast in a straight line. Hey, you know anywhere, other than the dealer, where I can get a full bolt set for a 2l 16v?

Not sure, but I'd use ARP head studs, rod bolts, and main bolts if I were to rebuild a 16v. If not, try www.parts4vws.com, www.germanautoparts.com, www.precisiontuning.ca(call him), www.pythonparts.ca

Yeah, ARP was my thoughts for the main engine bolts, but I'm looking to replace all the accessory bolts.

Does anyone know where that was?

To me it looked like the same stretch of road where ghost rider did one of his stunts. The one where he rides 300 km/h in between 2 trucks going in the oposite direction.

I beleive they quoted me $600 for the entire set. And I mean the whole set. Every bolt that goes on a 2l 16v motor.
