I have a car that's just as light as a Rabbit, and with similar aerodynamics. So it should be no surprise that I'm doubting the validity of that car's speed. No one in their right mind would take a street driven (street-prepped) Rabbit up to those speeds... and live to tell about it. That car didn't come with an electronic speed sensor, which means the owner had to install one in order for the Apex'i electronic thing to work. That also means that they could have fiddled around with the calibration of the sensor to make it read significantly higher.
I'm not saying it's impossible that the car went that fast, I'm just saying it's highly unlikely and that it's easily faked. He should have got the speedometer in the shot as well.
