That is not the same stretch. This one I don't know where it is, I don't even know if it is in Sweden. It sure looked like a Nordic country though. Maybe Norway/Denmark or Finland.

That lil' rabbit sure moved too.

I have a car that's just as light as a Rabbit, and with similar aerodynamics. So it should be no surprise that I'm doubting the validity of that car's speed. No one in their right mind would take a street driven (street-prepped) Rabbit up to those speeds... and live to tell about it. That car didn't come with an electronic speed sensor, which means the owner had to install one in order for the Apex'i electronic thing to work. That also means that they could have fiddled around with the calibration of the sensor to make it read significantly higher.

I'm not saying it's impossible that the car went that fast, I'm just saying it's highly unlikely and that it's easily faked. He should have got the speedometer in the shot as well.

The specs of that car were posted on vortex... including the trasmission it was using. I found the gear ratios for that particular transmission(came out of a corrado, forgot the code and ratios), and i used a gear ratio/speed calculator... that car should be at 300km/h around 7900-8000rpm IIRC. He does get into 5th gear, and the apex'i indicates 79xxrpm. You can actually see the car's speedometer in the background, I think it's a bit darker in the format youtube converted it into(I uploaded the original vid). But the speed indicated on the apex'i is pretty consistent with the speedo. When he gets around 300km/h, the speedo is around 0 or 20km/h, and when he coasts down and it gets back to 220, the apex'i indicates around 22xkm/h as well.
