welp, he visited me too. everyone said i wouldnt feel a gain, so i did it anyway. trick flow elbow, powdercoated black. looks good without the bellows or the donkey shlong. and being black it matches my k&n perfectly.
after the install i test drove it and didnt expect anything, but i got a bit more pull surprisingly. granted, its not MAJOR, but i definitely felt some SOTP at times. i must have had a leak in my old one or something...
and now my intake has been modded to the max: K&N intake, ported and descreened MAF, Trick Flow elbow, TB airfoil, IAT relocated, TB bypass. (yes, i can do a TB, but not on a stock motor)

f that. see i can obey the laws and pay 800 for coated SLP or BBK shorites that have CARB exemptions. OR i can say **** uncle sam and pay half that for coated offroad long tubes. i just have to decide which one first...wheels/drop or hood/paint or full exhaust.
oh and i thought i'd share this with you guys. left is december 05. right is april 07.

Get shorty headers. Long-tubes reduce your ground clearance. Shorty or mid-length headers will make a huge difference, especially in your bottom end (which is the most fun part of the powerband).
