Finally fixed my elbow.
Old elbow and that the sliencer that refused to come out. I ended havingto jack up my to get it out.
New elbow
Installed.
My clean MAF, I hate my car. turns out the air pump hose was unhooked so yeah it has been sucking up dirt from two entry points.

What the donkey-dong on the stock LT1 elbows does, is make throttle response smoother. Normally, not a lot of air goes in there during part throttle, because the engine is sucking it all in. However, when you let off, some of the rushing air goes into the little tube, so when you apply throttle again, the air comes back up to allow the response to be fluid.
It doesn't make a noticable difference, but that's what one of the Goodwrench mechanics up here told me.
