yeah yeah, spare me. I know I suck at sarcasm.
But getting to point, didnt know the Renesis was also called the 13B-MSP,
oh well, Iam not into Rotorys.
still though, but can you honestly say the Renesis will be as reliable as the F20, Iam not saying Rotories arent relieable, but because of their inherent design flaws, they do require more maintance than a normal engine.

How reliable the rotary would be is dependent on the amount of power its putting out, the quality of maintence put into it, how well it's tuned, how well it was built, the quality of the parts, etc. Just like any other engine. I don't own a Renesis so I can't comment on it's reliability, but my NA 13B has never ever given me a problem and I drive the **** out of it (the needle goes past the redline quite often). I would imagine a RX-8 is just as reliable as any other car out there, I haven't heard anything negative about them regarding reliability.
And what are these "inherent design flaws" that you speak of? You probably don't know any, you're just regugitrating the same old internet folklore, like apex seals blowing all the time, a rotary only lasting 35,000km, yadda yadda yadda...
And no, they don't require more maintenance then a piston engine (mine doesn't at least). The only thing that differs from a piston engine is that the oil level needs to be kept up, and spark plugs need to be changed more often. What I think you mean to say is that they are more fragile then piston engines, and aren't as forgiving. Meaning if you let it over heat, it's cooked.

no Iam not like that, I know that rotorys are just like any engine thats well taken care off.
But if the RX-8 is so reliable, why did Mazda recall the RX-8 just recently-
Mazda Plans Recall of Troubled RX-8
"Earlier this month Mazda, in an attempt to soothe intense dealer dissatisfaction with the RX-8 maintenance record, promised dealers that it would no count RX-8 owners' opinions in its internal customer-satisfaction scores."
Now Iam not going to spout that crap. Any car is unreliable if the owner doesnt take care of it. But fact of the matter is, the Rotory requires more attention than a regular engine, that was my original point. Not that the Rotory is unreliable.

I realize that they require more attention, which is why I pointed out the following, maybe you missed this part of my post:
