Porsche's GT3 and 911 turbos always come with an unpainted black plastic front lip, reason: it's the closest piece of bodywork closest to the ground, meaning it has the tendency to get chipped easily.
I personally think a black chin spoiler looks way better than a painted one thats pealing and with stone chips. If you want a car for show reasons only, then you might as well paint it, if you want to drive your car hard and often, leave it black.
why would someone want it to look cheap and unfinished? perhaps the reason black plastic lips are so popular on hondas these days are because people are to cheap to paint them? its def not cf, doesnt look like cf, so cheap is my conclusion. PAINT IT!
