im not comparing chev trucks to dsm's....your changing the subject...do to the fact you know im right....i dont see any 10 second hemi's at 5.7L ...trucks to cars is apple's to oranges...and i have a good feeling he will be in the 9's in no time for a street drivin truck on stock tires...god damn...and i have respect for the dsm's i have respect for anything thats fast its called an appreciation for speed and a love for trucks/cars

Chevy/Pontiac/GM is on it's way down because of it's lacklustre vehicle line-up and bonehead design and production moves.
Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth is on it's way up because of it's innovative vehicle line-up, killer Hemi engine and good calls on bringing back the Charger and flooding the market with the 300C which every rapper, baller, banger and yuppie wants.
Ford is somewhere in the middle. The new Stang isn't as great as everyone said it'd be, sales are slow in Canada. The GT40 isn't a pillar of Ford's sales and the Shelby Cobra is still a rumor. The rest of Fords line-up is BORING.

About GM: what I think is that GM probably will be the first to switch to the NEXT level of cars, thay are VERY "pushy" about hydrogen fuel cell technology. I feel thatthey are going to be the FIRST in that 'futuristic" market of personal transposrtation (GM flying cars? anyone).
GM's car lineup is ed up, except Corvette.

Munch the truck you raced was a 4.7 with hemi badges (actually the first "mod" to a non-hemi pwrd dodge ram these days in that arena) or the guy in it cant work the trans for it to hop. No, your not right, Ive driven 4.8 s/c 4x4s, 4.8 ext/c 2wd, 5.3 ext cab 2wds and a hemi 4x4 4dr..the HEMI is the better truck. Handling was like comparing an 05 accord (drive one frequently as well) to an 89 Caprice. The chevys are bouncy, sloppy bathtubs as the dodge is nimble, tight, fast and secure. Not to mention 10000 times better looking. Bring your 4.8 up here Ill bet lots of $$$$. Heads up. Bring it.

^U realize Parish's truck thats "only" running 10's is running 10's on STOCK firestone tires at over 133MPH...
As for the 4.8, u realize the 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0 etc are all Gen III SBC's, all parts are interchangeable between the holy grail LS1/6 and all these other engines, key differences being, the LS1/6 is all aluminum whereas the 4.8 and 5.3 and MOST 6.0's are cast iron....special production 6.0's in certain caddy's and i believe the SSR got aluminum 6.0L's....
ANd u guys talk about this all new mighty holy grail 5.7L HEMI like its freaking awesome....r u guys kidding me????
GM's LS1 was pushing same/more power in 1997!!! and its an all aluminum pushrod motor not a DOHC sophisticated dual spark designed "hemi" from 2004.....not to mention the HUGE aftermarket support for the Gen III SBC and more specificaly the LS1/6 and now LS2/7....the new hemi is a ing JOKE and a half and NOTHING compared to the real hemis of the days....
u want a fast cheap build up??? get a 6.0 short block and literally directly bolt on all ur LS1 to it and uve got urself a high 11 second f-body on slicks....

Camaro concept is cool for sure but they wont sell 100 thousand of them per year like they say they will (and they have to in order to make a decent profit) Mustang was out selling them (both) 4-1 when they pulled the plug back in 02. New stang sell 14K month..Dodge Charger isnt even there yet...and its versatile
