ahh yes! but im 18, with a part time job who needs this car and was on a small budget. i did it in a 1200 budget . got most of the parts from a local salvage yard. they a a badly wreaked 99 camaro, red, and a 94-97 camaro rs red.
hood: 165 red
bumper cover: 150 red
brackets and stuff(what was left of it) 25
headlight: 85 (used)
rs ground effects: 200 red
new tire and rim(front stock; nexen 2000(used but like new tread)): 50.00 and 80
i was lucky that all this stuff came in red. and i was going to change the s10 rims, but that was another 160 dollars plus the price of new tires. it was toyo proxies 4 in the back too haha nice. but i want to get some black 04' z06 rims my friend is selling for 500. 18x9.5 in the back and 17x8.5 in the front. cant waint to see how they look on. gotta get tires too

i have about 400 left from all this, and going to buy a new fender since some of it is messed bad. and when i get a better job this summer break im going to get it repainted.

Dont get me wrong, I'm impressed with the work you put into it and i hope it all works out for you but (and i ask this only because I'm coming from the same place) if you're on such a tight budget - why blow the $200 for the ground effects?

exactly. because they were there. if you saw ground effects(the 3 piece spoiler, rear bumper, and two side skirts) for $200, and they were the same color as your car, wouldnt you get it? hell i did. well it was 185 but with taxes and whatnot it came to a even 200.

not specifically you grant, you mentioned it was promising and i agree, but to those who said it fits like crap and all that. could it use more work, for sure, but its an excellent start for a kid on a budget.

wow, glad you were able to fix it! Still needs some work done to left quarter panel...the alignment is horrible, but you have to do what you can.

No, I would go for it too - thats a screamin deal. I supose if it's actually in your budget for it then its cool. It's just like in my case I wanted all the frame straghtening, tie rods/ends, steering knukles, etc. all put together first before I concidered the ground effects.
