I didn't consider changing the needles to blue. I wouldn't want to deal with putting the needles out and back in their proper location lol. This is about the fourth time I have taken my dash apart. It's not too hard to do it takes me a few hours cuz when I put it back together I make sure everything is very tight. I intended to repaint my air vents gray as well but I could not get the air vent by the air bag out.

Also I used 1/2" instrument panel sockets. No soddering here I didn't realize that there was a need to sodder until I researched it a little further after buying the lights. I got them on ebay and it had said they were nonpolarized so I was just going to replace all my lights with them (turned out to only use 7 once I realized I need to buy 7 bases and that they were in fact polarized). It is just something I had always thought about doing and ended up spur of the moment deciding to actually go ahead and do.

Are you talking about the vents by the passenger side airbag? They're not hard to take out at all. Just a couple of 7mm hex head screws.

I agree it's a good contrast, and makes it quickly readable at speed

Thanks Yes, the air vent was painted before (not by me). Might just use a foam brush on it? I popped the air vent on the opposite side out with no problem.
