B6T does have a point, Carbon finber is meant to lower weight and not to give it a certain look, not unless you want to rice out your car or make it look as if it is some sort of "race car". I was planning on putting a CF trunk as well as hood on my car due to the large size of both and the weight they place on mine, I will be painting both to match the car's colour. To each their own, but its purpose is not decoration, it is meant to lower weight.

Some people (like people who don't like to stand out) may prefer to paint their carbon fiber hood. MRAD is right about it originally being used for weight savings. The only reason people are buying carbon fiber hoods now is for their appearance, not their weight savings, and Boosted_ITRs and ricerknob's comments prove this. I bet if carbon fiber were pink with purple dots, no one would buy them and then leave them unpainted.

What B6T said.
It'd be more of a sleeper (and look better, IMO) with matching panels.

Just because it looks like C/F doesnt mean that it is, most of the C/F out there is a layer of C/F placed ontop of plastic. That type of C/F is pure rice, it doesn't just weigh more than a cheap plastic body kit (because of the extra layer of material), it also makes you look like a ricer for faking what should have been done properly and for a real purpose in the first place.

people would paint their pink hoods because its ugly
wat the hell is the point of painting c/f. it looks nice and is lightweight .
