Man, I'd love to bitch slap this guy. Clicky I know this is a repost, but it brings a tear to my eye every time. This was one sweet Rabbit, and now it's dead. They might have repaired it, but the body would be screwed. Moron, who the hell downshifts on a dyno. I think he set out to get that Nitrous backfire.

Because, it's mounted on rubber mounts, and is putting out around 400 hp. Oh, and the moron driving, keeps flooring it, and then letting off, flooring it, letting off, etc. Who knows why.

I've sat in a Rabbit, that had a turbo VR6, mid mounted, with it running, and I'll tell you, it needs the mounts. The VR6 was bolted directly to a subframe setup, that was welded to the original body, and the roll cage. I think I lost a couple of fillings in the 10 sec I sat in that car. You need the mounts. I honestly don't know what they were using for mounts, but obviously they weren't too bad. They let the motor move, but didn't break, at least not then.

Actually the VR6 turbo mid engine, RWD Rabbit, was running 8.3. On ET's. I've been trying to dig up some pics. It was featured in Performance VW's magazine a while ago.

It looked like those mounts let the motor more way too much. If that was going on in the engine bay you'd have a nice imprint of the valve cover in your hood.

Here is my newest one. GTI from BC, surface rust only, no holes, even under the rear bumper. I just ripped a 2l 16v engine out of a passat for it, thanks fastestcivic. And hopefully, I'll be done with the engine, by may. Likely going to be a T03, FMIC, maybe LSD, I'm not sure about the LSD yet, depends on cash flow.

And, my helper.
