The vega is owned and driven by Sheldon Root of Winnipeg Manitoba and does get driven on the street.
He wet 8.5 on a 295 50 drag radial at the world street race

seen thats the funny part.....it was never tested before it went down there..then on its qualifing run it blew the motor

From what I was told, the RX7s engine locked up on a qualifying pass.
He did manage to free it up and drove on the manditory 25 mile drive but didnt race.
And knowing sheldon, that IC probably did come out of a transport lol

I personaly know steve who owns rx7 aka rex
car will be ready and should be seen this year.
he did run into a small problem hence why he did not full out run but has been taken car of and all systems are go for him
