capacitor

just to make sure, the cap is installed in between the battery and the amp on the power line, right? um lemme re word that.

the power line comes from the battery. goes onto one post of the cap, then the other post goes to the amp power right? its that simple?

does it matter which post is which? one has a + and the other doesnt.

ps. ebay roxxors

the + is the power wire coming from the battery i beleive...and the negative is the one that goes to the amp, but the capacitor has to be close to the amp, just as a fusible link has to be close to the battery...correct me if im wrong...

Caleb the easy way will be just to run the + wire through the cap. As for the brackets, I'm not to sure, they should have came with the cap.

through the cap? you mean run the power wire to one end, then off the other straight to the amp? i saw some caps that came with a power and a ground wire with distribution block...does that mean i hook it up like an amp?

and i got the cap used on ebay so no straps. i'll find a way.

Yep one line from the battery and then the other line to the amp. If you needed cap you should have asked, once the new amp is installed I will be selling my RF cap.

It's been a while since I worked install, but I don't think it changed.

From battery to the cap +, off the cap + to the amp. Ground the amp to the frame, and ground the - on the cap to the frame.

If you wire the - of the cap to the amp, then the cap won't do crap.

crunch is the same as hifonics, autotek, and mb quart for the most part, just not as fancy same level as kenwood (autotek and hifonics are considered true high end like excelon from kenwood crunch is mid line)
