hm, i guess so, but along with window tinting laws=retarded... people shouldnt care that much when there's much worse things in life to worry about for example, murder, theft, drugs... i just hate how overly concerned cops are about laws for cars, i mean, is this really protecting me from society? I could think of way better laws to protect people.

Is there really a law stating you can legally touch someones car? if so explain..

the window tint laws are aimed towards the low life pieces of **** who murder the cop who stops them.If you haev real dark windows you can do all kinds of stuff that can't be seen. The real purpose of neon laws was to catch drug dealers, they tend to be show offs, and add alot of stuff to cars to get noticed, they make a law saying you can get stopped for them, and they catch a ton of dealers.Laws are not made to make your life harder, they are usually made becasue they found a way to catch teh people who really should be put to death anyway(they will be back doing it again when they get out of jail)

there is a car alarm shop here in chicago that install those type of alarms systems. It cost 50 bucks. One of my friends got it on his civic and i tried to reach in his car and without touching anything the alarm went off...i thought that was pretty cool so gonna get me 1

depends on your alarm, most of the time it can be wired in with the shock sensor, but some are too sensitive

That's what I always thought about tint laws as well. But when I got pulled over by a state trooper in my last Camaro I mentioned that and he said that wasn't the reason but it was because the tint messes up your vision like when you look into water. He said it bends the light so when you look at the car next to you it's not actually where it appears to be. I still think it's for cop saftey but that's what he told me.

Talked to some of the installers today at the RF, JL, and Alpine shop. Turns out the only way to do it on my alarm would be to splice it in with the shock sensor.

Thought so, and they want to charge me a $100+ to splice in some wire, screw that. They also showed me the top of the line clifford alarm, I must admit even I drooled over that thing.
