good man much better way to go.. and if your gonan mount any form of a subwoofer in the rear hatch.. then u need to do one of two things

if you have a 6 speaker system, then def all 6 speakers need to be upgrade and i would fade yoru head unit just slightly to the front +1 or +2 for ensure good surround sound quality..

if it is only a four speaker system which mine was.. then u need to either sell ur 4 inch speakers u got for the hatch area and buy some either mid bass drivers or coaxial speakers in a 6 1/2 inch for the back seat setup.. take the ones out of the hatch totally.. there will be no wiring for the 2 back seat speakers u will notice if it was originally a 4 speaker setup and not a 6.. since ur running new amps and wires this wont matter (but for those who aernt.. you can pull the factory wiring from the 4 inch speakers in the hatch area.. and hook them up to 6 1/2's in the back seat slots and they will run fine)

just my suggestions man since ive done alot of audio work in camaros..

ne more help let me know man.. feel free to pm me

I have the 6 speaker set up, I have already upgraded everything but the speakers in the door panel but I will be buying some next paycheck! MY overall plan though is to fun the door panel and rear hatch speakers off of the HU. I am going to run the rear seat 6 1/2 off of one of my amps and Im going to run the Sub off of the other one. I am just waiting for my kit to come in the mail, Im also waiting for my distribution block to split the amp power but I pretty much have all the thought behind this down, Im going to start running the RCA cables and the speaker cables now though.....Im without a radio right now so I want to get as much out of the way that way I can have it set and in as fast as possible....the only other delay I see is I am planning on building, or attempting to build my own sub-box, it could be a little tricky for me since it is my first time doing this but if all else fails, I can get a good 10" enclosure for pretty cheap, if I have any more questions though I will be sure to post it on this, or a new thread or PM you, thanks alot for the advice though! Im going to sleep now! haha

Got my kit in today, just in the nick of time, I have 2 sets of speaker cables run so far and an RCA patch cable, I need to run another patch before the night is through and then Ill run all the power cables tomorrow...Still waiting for my sub though so thats a little depressing but I can have the 6 speakers running without it so Ill live til then!! lol

Alright well first off the amp that I will be powering my sub with is a Kenwood KAC-608s
these are the ratings I have found, old amp but it has always done good for me
- Power MOSFET Switching Power Supply.
- Bridged Power Output at 14.4V (1kHz, 0.8% THD): 150 Watts x 1.
- Maximum Output Power: 300 Watts x 1.
- Power Output at 2 Ohms, at 14.4V (1kHz, 0.8% THD): 75 Watts x 2.
- Power Output at 4 Ohms, at 14.4V (20Hz-20kHz, 0.08% THD): 50 Watts x 2

I know that doesn't really sound like enough power to you but for me it will do perfectly fine, its going to be powering a MTX RT1004

Sensitivity (dB) : 87.9
Frequency response (Hz) : 34.7 - 150Hz
Peak power handling (watts) : 400
Woofer surround material : Polyether foam
Subwoofer size : 10"
Impedance (Ohms) : 4
Voice coil design : High Temperature Voice Coil
Basket material : Steel
Basket design : Info unavailable
xMax - maximum excursion (millimeters) : 9
QTS : .58
Fs - free air resonance (Hz) : 34.7
Mounting depth (inches) : 4-5/8

Like I said, not much but it will do fine! haha

The speakers Im using in the side panels are Kenwood 1650s 6.5

Peak Power 160W
Rated Power 35W
2-way speaker specifications
Frequency response 35Hz - 20,000 Hz
Impedence 4 ohms

And I am going to power them with a Jensen XA2150

75 watts x 2 at 4 ohms
100 watts x 2 at 2 ohms
200 watts in bridged mode
high- and low-pass crossovers, variable from 40-240 Hz, 12 dB/octave
6 dB bass boost at 45 Hz

I of course am going to use the High pass filter, the only reason I am planning on using this one on my 6.5s are because my other amp does not have a HP filter on it and I dont feel like spending any more money then I already have! haha The 4" I have in the back are some cheap RCA speakers that I plan on updated but they will do just fine since I will be powering it from the HU, I am also looking into some Alpine or Infinity 6.5s for the front doors, right now they are factory but come Saturday....they wont be! haha Also Im in such a rush because I am without music at the moment and I have a 45 minute drive to and work everyday....not fun! But if you could give me any suggestions on how to run an even more efficient setup it would be greatly appreciated!
