JL Audio

Can anyone recommend an Amp that I could run with my one JL Audio 12W6 sub, 6ohm Dual voicecoil? I know your supposed to run them in threes, but I only want to run one. I already have an MTX Thunder 404 for my speakers, and just need to know what I need to power my one JL. Help!!! I need bass! Thanks guys.

the kicker will work ok (a little on the small side but not bad) make sure you have a good box that will do m ore for teh sound than the amp really. You can bridge it to 3 ohms and get a little more out of most amps

Before you buy.... Arch you are correct in saying you can run them down to 3 Ohm...but will that amp handle a 3 Ohm Load? Sub amps usually can handle 2, but odd ohms can jack up a cars audio system. I don't know the specs on THAT amp, but just make sure beforehand.

99.9% of amps today can handle a 3 ohm load no problem (unless it's a pyle then they are iffy at 4 ohm)

very few amps today are true full range (most are what used to be only sub amps as they have too much distortion for decent sound)
