You don't have to run new wires.

so what do i do, the guy at crutchfield said i would have to run new wires. anyways i am using the bose speakers now and if i do wanna change the speakers that means i will be losing the bose sub in the trunk and will also have to get a new wiring harness? so what do u use the exisiting speaker wires? the guy said since they are amplified or something you would have to install and get a special harness and run new wires to the harness, can someone please explain

ah bose, you need the adapter from a local car audio store (not best buy or circuit city) real easy to do you don't need a new harness (crutchfield is not a dealer for teh kits)

Is the bose speaker system the same as the Monsoon? Does it have a stock amp? Because if you want to get the right power out of your speakers you will need to rewire.. Thats what I have to do for my system. And I had to get a amp just to power all the speakers..

more or less there is an adapter to go from the bose garbage (monsoon same way) to a real speaker, the monsoon is more fun usually since each speaker has it's own amp. there is an interface for both not exactly cheap at 50 bucks the last time I checked but works very well and much cheaper than a rewire

so what do i have to do? get a adapter for each speaker and this would make it so i wouldnt have to rewire? where can i get these at? and i thought the bose each speaker has its onw amp like built onto it or something, but when i put in my headunit i got the harness for the bose systme can i still use this harness or do i have to get a new one? can u also get an adpater for the bose 6x9 in the trunk or will that speaker just not work if i change the others?

go to a local specialist they will have the adapter to tell you what all you need, the audiovox speakers (oops sorry they say bose) will not work once you change the head and other speakers it sounds like crap anyway
