components for the fronts, coaxials for the rears. for voice coils, it depends how many subs your running and with what amp, and the how you are going to wire it. greg(pentavolvo) will chime in with the very technical stuff, he wont have a problem helping you figure out your setup.
and ya infiinity is all at best buy, thats what we beleive you should go with over Alpine type R or w/e other stuff they have.
and greg will help you pick out what wiring setup you need from knukonceptz.
basically youll need a 4 channel RCAs, mono RCAs, a thick power cable, prolly 4 gauge, then the ground straps to run from your amps, and a distribution block. greg will be able to show you exactly what to get and if you decide to come down here for the install, you wont have to worry about too much stuff, he'll do all the work, you pay him and drink BBYY.haha

Ok IMO go with the nicer coaxials of the two that are available for front and back. Go all out infinity amps. The 7541 for speakers and 611 both of which bestbuy sells. Ok which model subs are you going with. Ideall you want a sub thats either single voice coil 4ohms, of dual voice coil 2ohms. Let me know and I can help you once you tell me which model sub you are going with.
Ok onto wiring.
Here is the 4 gauge kit w/ rca's for the sub amp http://knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KLM-K4
2 sets of rcas for the 4 channel amp (order 2 of em)
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDe...prodID=KAR2-6M
GM sidepost battery terminal (you can get away without it but it makes it easier)
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDe...fm?prodID=GMBT
Distribution block
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDe...prodID=BC-1448
Speaker wire (you can either pick up 100 foot roll at home depot) or order it up here i would get 100 just to be safe and have extra layin around you know.
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDe...prodID=KLE16BL
You will also wanna get some 8ga to wire from ur distro block to the amps and from the amps to ground. Talk to one of the installers and try and grab some scrap 8ga from him otherwise im sure knukonceptz has some if ya call em cause its not listed on the site.
Also 2 8ga ring terminals for your grounds
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDe...rodID=RT8516BK
Thats it man all the wiring haha.
Otherwise you can try and price some bestbuy stuff. You will still need the gm side post battery terminal.
Need this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1134701342243 what worried me is those rca's are kinda short but should reach fine but dont hold me to that. Then you also need another set of rca's and speaker wire up the wazoo as usual. I tried finding stuff on bestbuy website but it was a lost cause lol.
Let me know, Greg

You guys will enjoy this a little OT but involves stereos. So im supposed to be doing the stereo in Polar Bears SS camaro in a few weeks full out high heavens. I did his durango a little over a year ago and needless to say he doesnt know how stuff works he just put the cd in and turns up the volume. He calls me crying that his speakers are muffled when he cranks it and stuff I said did you dick with the EQ he says no, and hes like ill be there in an hour. So he shows up all pissing and moaning and is about to crank it i say hold on a second click click through the menus put the EQ curve back to flat and im like ok turn it up he cranks it and hes liek WTF its not doin it now I was like moron I fixed it. I explain to him that since hes a polar bear and has fat paws when he was changing tracks he hit the EQ button he was pissed and was like get out of the damn car
So Paar any more questions

Ok for the speakers... How do I know theyre coaxial again? I know a bunch say component, but are theyre any specific model numbers that are coax so I can check and see if theyre on this sheet? If not, I can list some of the ones I have on this sheet. Also, coworker briefly explained kappa and refs i think it was... Didnt really catch the difference, but he said there wasnt much, and to go with the kappas, I think?
Im not really sure which sub to go with... I have a bunch of choices. I printed off the whole list of our accomodations and theres a few on here:
REF1052W dual voice coil $46
KAPPA102.7W selectable impedence $80
KAPPA104.7W selectable impedence $80
KAPPA Perfect 10DVQ die cast $118
KAPPA Perfect 10VQ die cast $118
Im not sure on the differences between all of them. Those amps tho are about 330 for both through that program, so thats not too bad. Thanks for all the help on the wiring, makes my life a lot easier
Thanks again for the help with everything.

Paar killer pricing on the amps thats a hell of deal. Kappas are a slightly nicer speaker and better power handling. If you can afford them take em over the reference. The kappas are either 62.7i or 63.7i, the 63.7 is the brand new model 62.7 is last years if 62.7 is way less go with those, they may only have one or the other on the site. If these arent on ur sheet tell me what u gots.
Subs if you can afford 2 of these KAPPA102.7W selectable impedence $80 do that otherwise the reference will work as well, but kappas will be nicer.
BTW i hate u and ur discount

lol @ story..
haha yeah its gonna all add up, but Im guessing its probably a steal over what those retail for, I dont even know. I do know theres no way in hell Id pay retail price for those cuase Id probably end my life the next day realizing what I spent hahhaa.
So whats the difference between the subs? like what does the 102.7 mean?
Alright, I do have both of those models, but Ill list what I do have to choose from.. And yea, the 62.7 is a little cheaper:
REF6012I two way loudspeaker $46
KAPPA62.7I two way loudspeaker $70
KAPPA63.7I three way loudspeaker $90
REF6010CS two way component system $93
KAPPA60.7CS two way component system $140
KAPPA PERFECT 6.1 component system $185

go with the 62.7I you will be happy with em. If its all adding up to fast go reference on the speakers and the subs it will still be a bad *** sytem. The 102.7 means its a dual 2 ohm voice coil and a 10" the 7 negates the model year run or something like that. Dual 2 ohm sub means you will wire the voice coils in series up for 4 ohms, then run the 2 subs together in parallel for a final load of 2 ohms on the amp and 600watts rms or whatever it puts out. I will draw you a lil diagram so you can figure it out if you dont have me put it in

How mant feet do you get with the speaker wire you posted... Ill get 100, but how much comes with the .25 purchase?
Also how much 8ga wire will I need for the dis block to the amps and amps to ground if I try to pick up some scrap wire?

coaxials front and rear, yes those speakers. That wire is priced per foot. I would try and hit a home depot 100feet of 18ga kind of in the electrical department for like 20 bucks would be golden. Otherwise order the 16ga from knukonceptz. 100 feet is over kill, you could prly get away with 75. I just hate to run short

haha i was just gonna dig up this thread... I havent ordered anything up, but I still plan to. Since Im having issues with the car, Ive just been having mixed feelings... I need to get all these noises taken care of first... I have a feeling Im going to be dropping a lot of money for that 'unknown' noise no one can seem to answer at any forum I go to. I still think its tranny, but Ill be happy if its just the alt.
anyways, I kinda got screwed out of my rent tax return.. So I took a pretty big cut from my tax returns, Ill have to make the money up in a couple checks through april.
I was thinking about just ordering up my new speakers for front, and doing the subs in april sometime. I know that Ill need the 4 speakers, and the amp... But what wiring and what else will I need out of what we picked out to do JUST the front for now... Or would it be better to wait and do it all at once? I think I could handle the front for now.
