Question Subs and Amp Match

OK here my plan i am just wondering if people could correct me wher i go wrong or wher i could do better i have two infinity subs i just purchased 1240's ref's and i have a two decks but i have a alpine and a clarion i am gettin this friday but the i am looking to buy a amp i am looing at the rocksford forsgate 2 channel -http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10 040351&catid=

i am wonder what this is going to do for me it is a fare chunk of money and i was wondering if ther is a cheaper way to get the same amount of boom for my buck.

Thats a pretty decent amp. Unfortunately some of the specs listed on future shops web site are wrong. On Rockfords website they have the proper specs. The most important one being what load it is capable to run. What i would do if I were you is check to see what coil configuration your subs are( 2 or 4 ohms, single or double coils) and then match it to the amp.

i was just about to ask the same thing... are the subs single or dual voice coil?
