Best car to get...
Hey, im looking for a 4 door ( no sport models ) that will have the best stock torque no turbo or supercharge either it has to be a "insurance friendly car." im well aware its not looking well so far i have been looking at a diesel jetta. also i was hoping to find a car with some engine space i will be adding my own turbo to the car and what not. any ideas?

thats a nice car but im looking for somthing like vw, audi, mitsubishi, hyundai, honda, thoes kind something that if it breaks issnt gunna cost me to much to fix or easy enought to find after market parts for.

Why dont you just stick with a normal 1.8T A4. Is one of the the best all-round cars and you can easily upgrade them. Adding a turbo to a non-turbo car can start causing lots of problems. On the 1.8T A4 you can even change the turbo in less than 2h in your own garage.

E36 or E46 3 series, older gen IS300 (my pick), older gen G35s, of course, all depends on your budget too...
i agree though, A4 is the best starting platform, but since you don't want a turbo, E46 328 shouldn't break the bank by now

whats the price range? what kinda car u lookin for? daily driver or toy? my buddy is building a awd turbo 4 door mitsubishi.. i cant remember what it is..i wanta say galant... its a early 90's pritty much just drop in a talon motor and tranny... 500hp grocery getter

lol An SRT-4 isn't exactly a regular Neon, its actually a credible car. And you said you were looking at a Jetta, but wanted something cheap to repair? Well unfortunately V-dubs aren't cheap to fix. I've owned two and it sucks, but obviously if you can find aftermarket it'll cushion the blow a bit
