Cowl hood question
Hey guys, just ordered a 4" cowl induction hood. A few questions I had though were,is there some kind of guard I can put under the opening part by the windshield for when it starts snowing out here? Not sure if the snow will damage or rust anything. Any ideas or information about the hood at that would be greatly appreciated. I mainly got the hood for the apperence. I have no idea honestly if it will actually boost my performance any lol. Thanks guys.

Don't worry about it, my '94 had a 4" cowl induction hood and I drove the car through a couple Wisconsin winter's like that with no problems. If anything it'll help you out as the head from the engine bay comes straight to the windshield and it melts the snow and ice and keeps frost from forming.

i too have a cowl on my z and i drove it last year in the snow and i also drive it in the rain and its no problem like chad said i think it actually helps in the cold becuaze the heat from the engine helps melt the snow and ice and acts as an external defogger
