a good cowl hood will have ductwork (that's what the originals had)

thats so dumb. if the hood is functional you wouldnt need the intake. so as it is now, its not functional. only the LS1 SS hood is functional as-is.

Ductwork TO a carburator...That would be some hellacious ductwork for it to come from a cowl under everything, to the bottom of the airbox, as is.

all it has to do is go to the front of the hood and open the top of a lid on top of the fan shroud (it's what a foot more in hood ducting) ram air doesn't work anyway since no air goes in the opening (no more than if there is no opening from wind tunnel tests)the only ram air that works is a tall scooplike on the prostock cars
