Frozentide will become famous soon enough
Tein coilovers are by far the best!! However most people do not have $1500 for their suspension!!!

I installed Suspension Technique 1.5" sport lowering springs on my 92 civic sedan, and the car to me is one of the best riding lowered car i've been in. I'm on stock struts and i don't bottom out or have a kidney bruising ride.

i wouldnt mess with cutting the springs as mentioned its dangerous, and if money is a serious issue then dont lower your car. save your money and do it right. also if you dump your car 2" you will prolly need to get a camber kit. suspension costs money but its worth it in look and feel.

TRUE or FALSE... its OK to cut a spring aslong as its not a macsphereson strut style like on most FWD cars...

Do you plan on driving the car in the winter? If you do and if you have the loot to spend, then I suggest you get a set of adjustable height/dampening springs. If you just get springs, and it's too stiff, you'll have a rough ride and may damage tie rods, bushings, etc. If you cut your springs or get springs that are too soft, you may blow out your shocks. Spend the money on quality.
